Overview
Sim Commander makes it easy to discover and configure your games for use with all SimXperience devices on both screens and in VR.
Sim Commander maintains both a list of games and a list of profiles. A profile has a game record assigned to it. This prevents you from having to re-enter the game record details on every single profile.
Reviewing Your Game List
To review your game list in Sim Commander:
Click the settings button from the Sim Commander main screen
Click the games section to expand it and view the list
Reviewing Your Profiles
Your profiles are shown on the Sim Commander main screen:
Profile To Game Mappings
To view your profile settings, place your mouse over a profile and click the 'Settings' button.
When the settings screen appears, you can see what game record is assigned to the profile:
Game Discovery Overview
Sim Commander has a very robust "auto discover" mechanism for games and profiles. When you click the auto discover button on the main screen, Sim Commander can find:
Any games installed in their default location
Any Steam games regardless of how many steam libraries you have spread across multiple drives. These do not need to be in the default installation locations.
To auto-discover your newly installed games, simply click the auto-discover button:
When you click to auto-discover, Sim Commander will find your games and create a default profile for them on the Sim Commander main screen.
For step-by-step instruction, please follow this quick tutorial: How To Auto-Discover Games & Profiles
Handling Undetected Games
If you have a non-Steam game installed in a non-default location, there is no efficient way to auto-discover it. You will need to either uninstall the game and put it in the default location specified by the games' installer or manually tell Sim Commander where the game is by creating a new game record and then clicking auto-discover.
This quick tutorial shows how to manually add a game record for iRacing: How To Add Games That Weren't Detected
Handling Games With Warnings (Yellow Exclamation Icon)
Sim Commander will notify you of potential configuration issues and help you to resolve them.
See: Understanding Sim Commander Configuration Warnings
Games Requiring Special Configuration
When you launch a game from Sim Commander, we make every effort to automatically configure the game settings to function correctly with Sim Commander. Most of the time you need to do nothing other than launch a game from the Sim Commander main screen.
A few games have inaccessible or encrypted settings files making automatic configuration impossible. Please see Game Specific Configuration for a list of these games and additional guidance.
What Games Are Supported
You can find a list of supported games here: https://www.simxperience.com/supported-games
Note: The AccuForce is compatible with any Windows racing game that supports the Dinput Force Feedback standard. In short, almost every serious racing game is support by the AccuForce wheel.
Troubleshooting
If you are having trouble with a game in Sim Commander and cannot solve the issue, you might try the 'Reset Game' feature. The 'Reset Game' button will remove profiles and game records for a selected game, then reset it to factory defaults. This will assist users that have made incorrect changes to their game records or moved the location of a game, etc..
To use the 'Reset Game' feature:
-Click the settings button from the Sim Commander main window
-Expand the 'Games' section
-Select the game you want to reset from the list on the left
-Click the 'Reset Game' button
See the yellow highlighted sections in the image below.
