Whether it’s the sharp kick of hitting a kerb, the buzz of road texture, or the lean of chassis roll in a corner, this effect adds a layer of immersion and realism that connects you to the vehicle’s dynamics.
It’s especially valuable for sim racers who want to feel every bump and nuance of the track, enhancing both feedback and situational awareness—perfect for fine-tuning your driving precision on everything from smooth circuits to rugged rally stages.
This effect leverages real-time suspension telemetry at 1000 Hz, combined with cloud tuning tailored to your specific vehicle, ensuring the feedback matches your car’s suspension characteristics. It’s designed to complement, not overpower, in-game force feedback, with automatic adjustments to prevent clipping and customizable sliders to dial in the perfect feel for your setup.
How to Use
- Enable the Effect: In your mixer profile, locate Suspension Feedback. By default, the toggle switch is set to Off. Flip it to On (up) to activate the effect.
- Adjust Settings: Once enabled, click into the effect’s settings panel to tweak the following sliders:
- Impact Sensitivity (0-100%): Controls how much suspension jolts (e.g., kerbs) affect the wheel. Increase for stronger bumps; lower if your game already emphasizes kerb effects.
- Max Impact Strength (0-50): Sets the maximum jolt intensity. At 100% mixer intensity, 50 feels strong but manageable—adjust based on your wheel’s torque.
- Texture Sensitivity (0-100%): Adjusts how small suspension movements translate to road vibration. Higher values enhance road feel; reduce if the game’s texture is sufficient.
- Texture Amplitude (0-20): Sets vibration strength for road texture. Scales with speed—lower it if your game already vibrates on bumps.
- Roll Amplitude (0-20): Controls chassis roll feedback strength. Subtle shifts from suspension tilt—reduce if your game simulates load shifts well.
- Cloud Tuning: This effect auto-tunes to your vehicle using cloud data (e.g., peak suspension acceleration, roll). No manual setup is needed, but you can override sliders if desired.
- Mixer Integration: The effect’s output (-100 to 100) blends with your profile’s intensity and smoothing sliders. Start with 100% intensity and adjust if it feels too strong.
- Monitor Feedback: Watch the “Current Feedback” value in the settings panel to see real-time output. If it’s too intense (e.g., nearing ±100 often), lower amplitudes or mixer intensity.
- Optional Logging: Toggle “Log For Analysis” to generate detailed data for our support team. Disable it afterward to reduce log clutter.
Tips: For high-downforce cars (e.g., F1), expect sharper impacts—tweak Max Impact Strength down if it’s overwhelming. For rally or vintage cars, boost Texture Amplitude to feel the rough stuff. If your wheel clips (loses detail), check the mixer’s overall intensity and scale back.
