I bought the SX4000 and three SCN5 actuators a while back; then recently bought a fourth actuator.

I'm simplifying my design and am now thinking of making it only 2 DOF: pitch and roll for a simple flight simulator.

I would like to position two actuators fore and aft of the universal joint for pitch, and two actuators right and left of the universal joint or roll.  To do that, the two pitch and two roll actuators will have to simultaneously work in reverse of each other; while one pushes, the other pulls and vice versa.

Can each pair of two actuators be configured via the SX4000 to work opposite of each other?

I'm pretty sure they can but you know what they say about the only stupid question being the one not asked.  Need a verification on this.

Is it possible to configure my SX4000 and four SCN5 actuators to that the two paired actuators work opposite of each other; to provide a simultaneous push-pull action on either side of the platform's universal joint while reacting to the game's signal for pitch or roll?

Thanks!

If you choose a known sim type such as the Stage 4 & 5, then we presume to know the mechanical configuration of the actuators and lock them to that configuration.

If you choose the DIY SX-4000 sim type, then we presume to know nothing about your simulators mechanical design so you can send whatever instructions you want to whatever actuator(s) you want, including inverting certain effects, etc..
