I need a reminder of how to get the new QR separated from the base it's shipped attached to. What's the trick?

I've done this before,  but it's been a while. I feel like the old forum had information on this. Not finding any info anywhere on the site.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Berney. The problem was with this particular unit.  The metal "nub" was locked up and preventing me from pulling the black metal "wings" back to fully release. Had to adjust the small set screw near that metal locking "nub" to get it back down and flush,  which allows the release to come back all the way and actually release the internal hub.

I thought I was going crazy!

3 of the 6 bolts hold the wheel on. The other three hold the wheel button box to the quick release.
