Sim Commander automatically keeps backups of your general Sim Commander settings and your Sim Commander hardware settings. These files are stored in the folder: Documents\SimXperience Commander 4.5 Backups\
To manually restore one or both of these backups
- Close Sim Commander
- Navigate to Documents\SimXperience Commander 4.5 Backups in Windows File Explorer
- Click the column header to sort the files by date if you are using list view.
- Decide which date you want to restore settings from
- Double-click the Settings zip file for the date you have chosen to open it
- Right-click on the Settings folder inside the zip file and select Copy to place this folder on your clipboard.
- Navigate to the Documents\SimXperience Commander 4.5 folder Windows file explorer
- Click the Paste icon in the toolbar to put the settings folder from the zip file here. Select yes when asked to overwrite existing files. If you do not have a toolbar with a paste icon, in the right-pane of file explorer, right-click a blank space and select paste.
- Repeat this process for the Hardware Settings as well.
- Open Sim Commander
