Would like to open a discussion regarding what settings people run for iracing in addition to the default cloud tuning settings.

I have mostly just run the wheel on default, and let cloud tuning do its thing. All I typically do is turn intensity up and down. Depending on the car it typically ranges from 55-80. I added rear traction loss at 50 and turned off rpm. I find for the most part its good, but I do find some cars and tracks better than others. Should I be running steering foundation? Lateral g? Any other effects? Is it worth experimenting with high and responsive? Is dynamic force boost a worthy effect to enable?

Im curious what cloud tuning does to the settings I have enabled, and what if any, it does to settings that are not enabled?

Please feel free to share your wheel settings.

Furthermore, if I were to run cloud tuning with game ffb off and utilize foundation with bumps, rear traction etc would that still work? Will cloud adjust the setting even without game ffb? Could I run a little game ffb and foundation?

I have/had the same issue I don’t run game ffb itself I have to off in game and also in the commander if you turn it on in the commander it auto turns off in the game I think I had extra problems because I had I racing via steam and sim commander did not like that at all. I’m still confused if the game ffb actually does anything so I just use the force feedback foundation one that one also tunes itself everytime with cloud tuning. sometimes i add effects myself but now because I don’t use steam anymore I’m experimenting with using the ingame ffb function but that costs fps and I read that it sucks for me the big problem is not knowing what’s beyond the Abby’s if that makes sense. it all feels good but i feel like im doing something wrong. I know this is not a fix but atleast its something else then a reference to that dumb article

Edit: I thought this was 3 weeks ago not 3 years and I can’t delete it

Edit2: that whole ffb auto turn off was part of the steam glit I think because after this I’m back tho where I started

Unfortunately that's no help whatsoever... I have the same questions he does. Tried my brothers Moza R12 v1 and was shocked at how much tire grip detail I was getting compared to my AF v2. If its auto tuning why does it feel terrible when I turn on Foundation ffb? It auto sets it to like 190% and I have to turn it way down. Ive looked through all the tutorials and yt videos and forum/reddit posts, what little info there is is very subjective and its extremely frustrating. Please help
