by mistake I added a Game Force Feedback effect to a profile in the Output Mixer Effects and SC won't allow me to delete it. So I have to have the first entry of GFF turned off and the second one turned on in order to be able to use the GFF. Is there a way to remove the extra one?

Unfortunately not, we intentionally make that effect not removable because it is necessary, even if the only reason for it is to tell the wheel that Game FFB is toggled off. When putting this safeguard in place, no one thought to also prevent the addition of a second instance of the same effect.
