Best way of mounting Dayton pucks

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out what's the best way of mounting the pucks on the GS5 to get most out of them

1. Simply on the top of the plate like the image below?



2. Or under the plate?




3. Or another solution I have heard around is to cut out the metal circle like this solution below?

The original design intent is that you cut out the punched holes we provided and then mount the puck either directly or with the Dayton puck mounts.
