Seeking clarification on Force Feed Back

Avatar
Chase Marshall

Hi,

There are quite a few games that have cloud profiles that auto match car and track data. Alternatively, there is also the ability create a profile based on a lap.I noticed that these profiles have the game force feedback and game smoothing enabled but disable steering  foundation, which means that the wheel is taking is producing its FFB based on the game settings. So how do I know what in game force feed back settings I should set?

Additionally, I can see there used to be a Sim Owners Club where you could download custom made profiles, is this data still available somewhere? For games like Dirt Rally 2.0 where there is no auto match, I am unsure what settings to get things feeling right.

Thanks.

For games like iRacing that offer a robust integration capability, Sim Commander will take over all of the in game settings. They will be greyed out and can't be changed, which is how you know Sim Commander is in control.

For other games, most in game settings are a matter of personal preference. However, it is best to set the in game degrees of rotation to match what you have set in your Sim Commander profile. By default, the AccuForce is set to 1080 degrees of rotation.

It's also important to set your expectations reasonably. Games like Dirt Rally 2.0 are more arcade than simulator. It will never be possible to get a highly realistic result from an arcade style game.
